The plan

Day use at Umstead is free, except for boat rentals. Camping, facility reservations, and some permits cost extra. Choose a hike from the official park map, and check seasonal gate hours and alerts before arriving.

Before you go

The carved Log Art has been removed. Bridge work affects Cedar Ridge, North Turkey Creek and South Turkey Creek trails; follow the official closure map.
