The plan
Dorrance Dance reimagines The Nutcracker through tap and the jazz arrangements of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. The approximately one-hour performance runs without an intermission, making it a compact holiday outing with a very different musical pulse.
Tickets and campus arrival
Book the performance through Carolina Performing Arts. The advertised $11 student offer has eligibility and identification rules; it is not the general ticket price. Memorial Hall is on UNC’s campus, so check the official parking directions before setting out.
Before you go
Choose the exact session before buying; some productions have more than one performance in a day.
