Hiccup and Toothless on the big screen, with John Powell’s score performed live.
The plan
The animated adventure plays in HD while the North Carolina Symphony performs its orchestral score. Jayce Ogren conducts. The story follows a young Viking whose friendship with a dragon challenges the expectations of his village; watching the musicians alongside the film offers another way into a familiar family favorite.
Make the most of it
Choose Friday evening or Saturday afternoon. The afternoon performance may fit more easily around a younger child’s routine. This is a film screening with live music, so choose seats with a comfortable view of the screen as well as the orchestra.
