Orchestra, chorus and guest soloists bring a seasonal choral landmark to Raleigh.
The plan
Michael Francis conducts the North Carolina Symphony and North Carolina Master Chorale, with soloists Yulia Van Doren, Leah Wool, Isaiah Bell and Will Liverman. Handel’s Messiah includes the celebrated Hallelujah chorus. This is a chance to hear individual voices and a large choral sound in the same live performance.
Make the most of it
Friday’s concert is at 7:30pm; Saturday’s is at 3pm. On Friday, North Carolina Chamber Music Institute students give a pre-concert Ovations performance beginning at 6:45pm. Allow a little extra time if you would like that opening musical encounter as part of your evening.
