Fantasy-world music and hands-on instrument activities for a family afternoon.
The plan
Sophie Mok conducts a family concert drawing on the music of Frozen, Narnia and The Lord of the Rings. The focus is the live orchestra and the worlds that music can suggest. Children who know the stories can listen for familiar moods and imagine their own scenes as the music unfolds.
Make the most of it
Free child-friendly lobby activities begin one hour before each performance, including the Instrument Zoo, where children can try real instruments. For the 1pm concert, plan around noon activities; for the 4pm concert, around 3pm. This is a music concert rather than an advertised film screening.
Booking your visit
Tickets are sold for a specific performance and seat. Compare the final total for your chosen date before booking. Use the dated calendar entries on this page to save the exact start time; separate performances on the same day need separate bookings.
