The plan

General admission to the downtown museum is free. The published hours are Tuesday–Sunday, 10am–5pm; last admission is 4:45pm. Some exhibitions and 3D films cost extra. Prairie Ridge is closed to general visits until its anticipated 2027 reopening.

Before you go

The downtown museum is closed November 26 for Thanksgiving. Prairie Ridge is closed to general visits; the butterfly room reopens in summer 2027.
